Led by new city
leaders, an effort began in 2004 to re-establish an individual Kennedale Chamber
of Commerce for the City of Kennedale, Texas. The Kennedale Chamber of
Commerce lost such
identity in 2001 when the organization consolidated with two adjacent
cities to form a broader chamber.
The new Kennedale
Chamber’s board of directors and its officers were introduced in
January, 2005. The meeting also served as the Chamber’s official kickoff
membership drive. As of June 1, 2005, the Kennedale Chamber of Commerce had about 100 charter
members. We feel it is
important to be highly visible in this change of economy and appearance
of the Kennedale area.
The board is
composed of diverse directors, several of whom are new business owners
in Kennedale, to guide the Chamber and its members in its crucial early
years of operation. This is part of the organization’s intent to be a
viable part of the economic engine of a future Kennedale.
